Europe’s Best Independent Agency

Founder & CEO,
Arke Agency
Independent. Networked. Integrated. Specialist. Generalist. The marketing industry has never been short of labels for agencies.
But you do not need another label when looking for a marketing agency. You need vision, growth and clear direction.
Marketing directors are under pressure to understand increasingly complex audiences, connect growing numbers of channels and platforms, demonstrate commercial impact and keep pace with constant change. You don’t need another supplier completing a list of activities but a trusted strategic partner that can see the whole picture and provide the specialist expertise to act on it.
As a full service marketing agency, Arke is operating as an extension of our clients’ research and strategy functions. We turn business ambitions into trusted marketing plans, then bring together the right specialists to deliver them cohesively.
In 2025, Arke was named Best Independent Agency at the European Agency Awards, Best Integrated Agency at the UK Agency Awards alongside winning Most effective Campaign of the Year in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
We are incredibly proud of the recognition, but awards alone are not what make an agency valuable.
What matters is what clients experience when they work with us.
A successful partnership begins with clarity. Before campaigns, creative concepts or media plans, we need to understand where the business is going and what marketing needs to contribute.
That means our onboarding process is thorough, challenging and focused on creating momentum.
We start by defining what success actually looks like. A classic agency line, I’m aware… but this is a sticking point for us.
If the objectives and KPIs are unclear, we risk becoming misaligned from the first minute of the partnership. We therefore work with clients to connect their business ambitions to measurable marketing outcomes.
That might mean increasing revenue, improving customer acquisition efficiency, growing market share, changing brand perception, generating qualified leads or reaching a new audience. Whatever the objective, we establish the baseline, timeframe and measures that will tell us whether the strategy is working.
We are not interested in reporting activity for activity’s sake. Impressions, clicks and engagement can be useful indicators, but they must connect to a meaningful business outcome.
Who are we trying to reach and what ACTUALLY matters to them? What are their pain points, motivations and barriers to action?
We go beyond broad demographics, likes and interests. We look at behaviours, needs, decision-making factors, media habits and the wider context in which someone experiences a brand.
This allows us to build a much clearer picture of the audiences that matter, why they should choose our client and what needs to happen at each stage of their journey.
Without that understanding, even the most creative campaign is still an assumption.
We will need access to your marketing technology, analytics and relevant platforms.
That is not because we want to create more dashboards, even though we will. It is because we need to understand how people currently discover, experience and respond to your brand.
We examine how channels, platforms and internal systems connect; where data is being captured; where tracking is incomplete; and where customers may be dropping out of the journey.
The objective is to create a connected view of marketing performance, that gives us the evidence to invest confidently, identify missed opportunities and make better decisions across the whole customer journey.
Whether it is SEO, Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok, organic socials, creative, analytics or conversion rate optimisation, we need to understand the current position before recommending the next move.
We establish what is working, what is underperforming and what may be missing altogether.
We will also be brutally honest about what it will take to reach the desired outcome. That includes the likely timeframe, investment, resources and level of change required.
Sometimes our audits confirm that an existing approach is performing well. Sometimes they uncover immediate opportunities. At other times, they reveal fundamental issues that need to be resolved before more budget is committed.
Our role is not to tell clients what they want to hear. It is to give them the clarity to make the right decisions.
Integrated or full service marketing does not mean replacing every internal capability with an agency service.
We take time to understand the existing team, its strengths and where additional expertise or capacity is needed. This helps us determine where Arke should lead, where we should collaborate and where the client’s internal team is best placed to deliver.
From there, we create a roadmap that is fully costed, forecasted and scheduled. Everyone knows what is happening, who is responsible and how each activity contributes to the wider objective.
Then we swiftly get to work.
Good onboarding creates direction, but it is what happens afterwards that determines the value of the partnership.
Strategy should not be a presentation that is approved, filed away and forgotten.
It should guide decisions across channels, creative, investment and measurement. Every specialist needs to understand the wider commercial objective, not only the performance target sitting in front of them.
As a full service marketing agency, we connect research, strategy, creative, paid media, SEO and digital development around one shared plan. This reduces duplication, removes budget cannibalisation, closes gaps between channels and creates a more consistent customer experience.
Clients should not have to choose between a generalist agency that understands the whole picture and specialist agencies with deep channel expertise.
Arke brings both together.
We are generalists at a strategic level because we need to understand how every element contributes to growth. We are specialists in delivery because each discipline requires dedicated expertise, continuous development and detailed platform knowledge.
The important difference is that those specialists work as one team rather than as disconnected suppliers protecting their own channel or budget.
Clients can expect us to be supportive, collaborative and deeply invested in their success. They can also expect us to challenge them.
We will question assumptions, flag risks and say when we believe investment would be better directed elsewhere. If the data changes, the plan may need to change with it.
Independence gives us the freedom to make recommendations around the needs of the client rather than a predetermined channel, product or agency structure.
That honesty is essential to building trust… and trust is essential if an agency is going to act as a genuine extension of a leadership team.
No marketing strategy should remain static.
Audiences change. Platforms evolve. Competitors respond. Economic pressures affect behaviour. Critical to success is watching the data, new data reveals opportunities that were not visible at the beginning.
We create clear plans, but we also build in the ability to test, learn and adapt. Performance insights are shared across disciplines so that media informs creative, search data informs content and customer behaviour informs the wider strategy.
This is how marketing moves from a set of separate activities to a connected system for growth.
Our awards provide valuable external recognition, but the strongest evidence comes from the outcomes delivered for clients.
For BFI Player, Arke developed a full-funnel strategy connecting audience research, creative, paid search, paid social, video, programmatic activity and retargeting.
During the peak January and February period, free trials increased by 729% year on year. The campaign finished 33% above its free-trial target and achieved a 52% trial-to-paid conversion rate.
The work went on to win Campaign Effectiveness at the European Agency Awards and Best Integrated Campaign at the UK Agency Awards.
That is what integration should deliver: not simply more activity across more channels, but a coordinated strategy that produces measurable commercial impact.
For us, independence does not mean working in isolation.
It means being independent in ownership, integrated in our thinking and networked in our reach.
It gives us the agility to build teams around client needs, make decisions quickly and invest in the capabilities we believe will create the greatest value. It also keeps the people leading the agency close to the work, the clients and the outcomes we are accountable for delivering.
We can combine that independence with specialist partners when a brief requires additional reach or capability, without losing the clarity and accountability of one central strategy.
So yes, we are independent. We are integrated. We are generalists and we are specialists.
But those labels only matter when they translate into a better experience and stronger outcomes for our clients.
What clients should expect from Arke is clear direction, honest advice, specialist delivery and a team that takes responsibility for the complete picture.
That, to us, is what being Europe’s Best Independent Agency should mean.
