Head of Performance Marketing

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Head of Performance Marketing to join our award-winning team.

Within this position, you will be responsible for campaign planning, execution, launch and reporting. Within this role, you’ll be a driven person keen to support Arke’s growth plans by delivering highly successful campaigns from our existing client base, in addition to supporting the commercial and marketing teams by confidently creating innovative media strategies to win new clients, delivering pitches and contributing to our brand awareness through webinars and marketing events/activities.

Salary £45,000-£55,000 + bonus’

  • Create the campaign/paid media strategy for prospects and clients
  • Oversee the planning, delivery, optimisation and reporting of the department
  • Create and execute internal strategy for the paid media department which enables Arke to achieve its goals & report on this monthly in SMT meetings
  • Provide monthly paid media spend to enable cash flow forecasting
  • Ensure best practice and innovation is applied to campaigns and the teams capabilities
  • Plan for new developments with a clear roadmap, which is costed and against timelines
  • Identify the skills required in the department to inform team growth through recruitment and training
  • Plan capacity effectively to understand resource requirements and inform campaign bookings, recruitment/planned for overtime
  • Report on campaign delivery understanding areas to improve with solutions & areas of success
  • Inform sales collateral, pitches, bids and marketing for the department
  • Motivate the team to reach company, departmental and personal goals
  • Write job descriptions and manage the recruitment process for the team with Operations
  • Build relationships with suppliers, clients and industry experts to position Arke’s ads services as innovative and delivered by thought leaders
  • Ensure Arke has access to, and the team are trained on, the relevant tools required to deliver high quality media plans and campaigns
  • Present at industry events showcasing Arke’s expertise
  • Work with marketing and MD to establish Arke’s USPs and communicate these consistently and effectively
  • Create/brief in documentation required for paid media pitches, proposals, campaigns, reports and value added services
  • Create and document paid media processes to ensure quality of work and alignment across the team

Management of people and resources:

  • Effectively manage people by building a high-quality working relationship with your team, providing a blend of support, development and performance management that enables individuals to work at their best.
  • Effectively recruit and select staff in line with Arke’s recruitment and selection processes, ensuring that their individual values and behaviours align with the values of Arke.
  • Have a style of people management that is consistent with the Arke’s people management policy and ensures that all the required processes including induction, PDPs and ongoing one to ones are in place.
  • Ensure that relevant systems are in place and actively contribute to effective communication within the team and with others across the company.
  • Ensure that the systems are utilised for the benefit of the wider team, management team and leadership team.
  • Effectively manage project/business performance by planning, coordinating, delivering, evaluating and communicating as appropriate.

Strategic Leadership

  • Create annual paid media budget for learning & development, tools/technology and events
  • Demonstrate effective leadership consistent with the Arke’s values and its wider work on thought-leadership in the marketing industry.
  • Actively learn and develop to stay up to date with developments in area of expertise and to meet the changing needs of the job, team and Arke by participating in relevant events and appropriate learning activities.
  • Encourage and support the development of others, the team and Arke by engaging in and contributing to Arke as a learning company and to its positive enthusiastic culture.
  • Represent the team and Arke in a professional and positive manner with both internal and external stakeholders and in doing so reflects the values of the company.
  • Ensure compliance with Arke’s policies, procedures and contract of employment.
